Tubéreuse Trianon is a floral and fruity Eau de Parfum, sunlit and radiant, where tuberose and white flowers blend with raspberry and coconut to create a glowing caress on the skin. Created in 1985 by Yuri Gutsatz, this niche fragrance pays tribute both to the Trianon gardens at Versailles and to modern femininity, with a creamy, musky, and enveloping sillage that lasts long.
The bottles of Tubéreuse Trianon are mechanically openable: for example, a 50ml bottle can be opened to pour part of its contents into a 15ml bottle, allowing you to reuse travel bottles and reduce waste. The Maison does not yet offer ready-to-use refills, but the design encourages container reuse.
Tubéreuse Trianon opens with a slightly green and spicy freshness, where rhubarb, petitgrain, and coriander awaken the senses like an evening breeze in a royal garden. The heart then bursts into white: tuberose unfolds in all its splendor, surrounded by jasmine, lily of the valley, ylang-ylang, and neroli, creating the impression of creamy, almost milky white flowers, both sensual and innocent.
In the base, raspberry and coconut add a subtle gourmand touch, rounded by balsam of Peru and a musky veil, creating a soft, enveloping warmth, like silk draped over the skin. The fragrance evolves from a bright bouquet to a creamy, comforting cocoon over the hours.
In the 17th and 18th centuries, the Trianon gardens at Versailles were a more intimate refuge, away from court etiquette, where sovereigns could stroll among sophisticated flower beds. Tuberose held a special place there, to the point that Marie-Antoinette associated it with her “Parfum de Trianon,” a symbol of luxury and seduction.
Tubéreuse Trianon translates this universe: a royal garden at dusk, where white flowers release their most intense, sensual, and almost hypnotic fragrance. French opulence is softened by sunlit radiance and a hint of gourmand touch, creating a fragrance that is both historical and surprisingly contemporary.
In 2017, when Le Jardin Retrouvé was relaunched by Michel Gutsatz and his wife Clara Feder, it was crucial for the brand’s success to create a classic collection suited to today’s tastes. Yuri’s formulas constituted a vast collection, and it was difficult to choose just seven. Tubéreuse Trianon more than earned its place, becoming a consistent best-seller year after year. The testimonials of those who own a bottle are eloquent.
Tubéreuse Trianon was born in 1985, originally under the name “Tubéreuse,” after a trip by Yuri Gutsatz to New York. Fascinated by the strength and freedom of American women, he envisioned a full, rounded, pure, and powerful tuberose that embodied this assertive femininity through a European perspective.
To give this nocturnal flower an even more chic and modern dimension, he added an unexpected note of raspberry, creating a fruity twist that brightens the bouquet of white flowers. Later, Clara Feder discovered an old text mentioning tuberose in the Trianon gardens and renamed the fragrance “Tubéreuse Trianon,” linking Yuri’s creation to a French royal tradition. When the Maison was revived in 2017, the fragrance became one of the cornerstones of the collection.
"I remember the first time I tried a sample of Tubéreuse Trianon. It was a year ago, and I literally looked up to the sky and let myself be carried away by the sunny glory of this fragrance. It was love at first sight. If Chanel had ever set out to make a tuberose fragrance, this would be it."

The text by Clara Feder inspired by Trianon tuberose: Trianon Gardens, Versailles, France, circa 1689
You stroll towards Trianon, the garden of Versailles where the king had flowerbeds upon flowerbeds planted. It is evening. You pass a group of courtiers. Among them, a gaze pierces you. In its wake, a powerful scent of tuberose, mingled with jasmine and ylang-ylang. Veiled, a surprising touch of raspberry. Your heart has just met love. It is overwhelmed.
Many people describe Tubéreuse Trianon as a sunlit, soft, and enveloping tuberose, less “brutal” than some very heady tuberoses, with a successful balance between sensual white flowers and creamy roundness. Some niche perfume enthusiasts call it a “comforting” and romantic fragrance, perfect for evenings or moments when a scented sense of reassurance is needed.
Reviews also highlight its excellent longevity and evolution: the brighter, floral opening gradually gives way to a softer, musky, almost milky base that stays close to the skin like a veil. Others recommend it as a wonderful introduction to the world of tuberose for those who are wary of interpretations that are too aggressive or animalic.
Tubéreuse Trianon smells of white flowers at their peak (tuberose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, lily of the valley, neroli) with a fruity touch of raspberry and coconut on a balsamic, creamy, and musky base. The overall effect is sunlit, romantic, and enveloping, without tipping into a simple sweet fruitiness.
Its white, creamy floral structure often gives it a feminine perception, but it can be worn by anyone who enjoys sensual and radiant tuberoses, regardless of gender. It is a fragrance of character rather than a category.
Customer and enthusiast reviews highlight excellent longevity, with a noticeable yet elegant sillage and an evolution toward a softer, creamy, and musky base. Exact duration varies depending on skin type, weather, and amount applied.
Tubéreuse Trianon is particularly suited for romantic dates, dinners, evenings, and any moment when you want to add a touch of floral drama to your day. It performs especially well in mild or warm weather.
It is recommended to spray on pulse points (neck, wrists, inner elbows, behind the ears) without rubbing, and optionally on clothing after testing on a discreet area. To enhance longevity, apply the Tubéreuse Trianon Body Milk first, then the Eau de Parfum.
There are no ready-to-use refills yet, but the bottles are mechanically openable: it is possible to open a 50ml bottle and pour part of its contents into a 15ml bottle, allowing you to reuse the smaller sizes and reduce waste.
Le Jardin Retrouvé fragrances are formulated without added colorants, preservatives, or UV filters, using organic alcohol, while adhering to the standards of fine perfumery.
