Osmanthe Liu Yuan - The Happy One - Eau de Parfum

I bought Osmanthe Liu Yuan after obsessively researching perfumes with osmanthus notes — and wow, this one completely exceeded expectations. The first spray hit me with a bright citrus opening, fresh and a little unexpected. I almost thought I’d missed the osmanthus… but then it unfolded. Slowly, beautifully.

Over the next hour or two, it settled into the most delicate, soft osmanthus note — powdery, floral, with just a hint of sweetness. Like a memory from home. It’s layered, subtle, and intentional. Not loud — but unforgettable.

If you have memories tied to osmanthus — Mid-Autumn festivals, family, warmth — this fragrance will speak to you. It’s elegant, nostalgic, and quietly comforting. A scent you wear for yourself, and for the ones close enough to lean in.

Sarà il mio profumo di questa estate. Quando me lo hanno proposto non ero convinta, perchè non amo i profumi fruttati, ma appena l'ho sentito mi ha colpito subito. Ha una nota dolce di albicocca, che mi riporta alla mia infanzia con un magico effetto Proust! poi arriva l'osmanto in tutto il suo splendore. Una scia non troppo invasiva, ma che a me personalmente migliora la giornata :)

Such a juicy vibrant apricot smoothed by the osmanthus. It is such an ethereal fragrance, it is not a “beast” performer nor should it be! Perfect just as it is!

Sweet and sunny

I've just received my purchase today and tried it on 5 minutes ago, but I am already in love with this scent. It's so fresh and sweet, yet so earthy. I can't stop myself from just breathing it in!

I wanted an osthmantus scent to remember a trip I've been on where I saw and enjoyed the scent of this tree in full bloom, and I couldn't find one that took me back to that memory until now. Will definitely be repurchasing this as soon as this bottle is gone.

First received this from my Scentbird subscription and immediately knew I needed a bigger bottle. It's such a lovely summery scent, and it goes well with a lot of other fragrances. It leans citrusy and floral, and it may be my new favorite scent. Well done!

O.L.Y is addictive !

With all my huge experience I’ve never come across anything similar to this perfume. It doesn’t look similar to any Osmanthus perfume. Definitely worth to be in a sophisticated perfume conaisseur collection. And my husband (who just usually choose something from my collection), was surprised and also uses it (so it could be quite understandable for normal people). It also lasts for many hours, that was unusual for what I was expecting for

Odeur merveilleuse d'abricot confit mélangé à un bouquet floral, déposé sur un morceau de cuir (plutôt du daim). L'iris et le jasmin sont perceptibles. L'odeur est tellement sublime que j'aurais voulu plus de sillage et plus de tenue.
C'est un parfum qui vous mettra de bonne humeur.

This is a beautiful fruity floral with subtle nuances of leather and musk that peek through a heart of peach and an abundance of flowers. It's an uplifting, modern fragrance that will please anyone who loves a well blended peach accord with none of the sticky sugariness. This is the kind of peach/apricot you'll find among the Grand Dame classics such as Arpege. I really noticed that beautiful breeze of jasmine too..
