Backed by 35+ years of scientific research, these fragrances use neuro-olfactory algorithms to activate areas of the brain linked to joy, calm, energy, or better sleep.

Thanks to brain imaging technologies, Givaudan’s researchers can:

  • measure how scent affects emotional responses,
  • identify optimal ingredient combinations for specific benefits,
  • and certify perfumes as effective Moodboosters.

So far, five of our fragrances have been crafted by Givaudan, each enhancing a specific type of mood such as energy (Mousse Arashiyama), joy (Osmanthe Liu Yuan also called O.L.Y.), wellbeing (Sandalwood Sacré) (Violette Kew) and sleep (Cuir de Russie).

It's important to remember that the natural properties and benefits of certain ingredients such as rose, lavender and sandalwood (present in several Le Jardin Retrouvé fragrances) have long been scientifically recognised, which is why their formulas contain between 90 and 99% natural ingredients and are certified as such by an independent laboratory. In other words, Le Jardin Retrouvé fragrances truly capture the beauty of the garden!
