Yes it is a vetiver in the base that becomes more and more prominent as it settles on your skin but that smokiness in the beginning refined into something exclusive and lavish - I cant get enough of it. And lets be honest, this is probably one of the fragrances that actually gives you a sense of tobacco with its smoky facets and not flowers

It opens with a blast of tobacco, but quickly settles to a kind of dry, slightly bitter vegetal smell, maybe it\'s vetiver? And there is a floral note in here that feels clean and a bit soapy. But the main note for me in red is labdanum. My skin loves labdanum and amps it up. Labdanum to me smells like buttery, waxy male skin warmed by the sun - and this intimite skin like feeling combined with that slightly soapy clean smell works great together. The soapyness feels a tad barbershop-ish, and the composition as a whole reminds me a bit of Lagerfeld Classic (only Classic is way heavier, denser and more complex).
