The garden behind Rose Trocadéro
Free Mystery Set from €100
Rose Trocadéro is a soft and luminous floral Eau de Parfum, that smells like a blooming rose garden, full of nostalgia and tenderness. It blends rose petals, cassis buds, and a delicate white musk to recreate the sensation of a true bouquet of roses, very Parisian, with a subtle lychee facet.
Created in 1976 by Yuri Gutsatz under the name Rose Thé, this fragrance pays homage to the French haute perfumery of the 1920s, childhood gardens, and the elegant women of Paris.
The Rose Trocadéro bottles are mechanically openable, allowing, for example, to open a 50 ml and transfer part of it into a 15 ml bottle, encouraging the reuse of smaller formats and reducing waste. The House currently does not offer standardized refills, but the design was created to encourage reuse.
Rose Trocadéro opens with the fresh, natural radiance of an outdoor rose bouquet, as if gently crumpling petals still dotted with morning dew. The blackcurrant buds add a green, fruity touch, almost like lychee, making the rose more crisp and lively.
In the heart, rose absolute, geranium, and clove recreate the depth of an old rose, rich and textured, without falling into a dated powdery scent. In the base, musk and honey create a soft, caressing, almost suede-like trail that stays close to the skin, like a tender memory.
Rose Trocadéro is inspired by the Trocadéro Gardens in Paris, with their iconic view of the Eiffel Tower, flowerbeds, and an atmosphere that is both urban and romantic. It’s a garden where one takes a stroll in the early morning, when the roses fill the air with fragrance and the city gently awakens.
In the House’s imagination, this garden evokes childhood gardens, damp benches, bees buzzing around flowers, and the simplicity of peaceful happiness amidst the roses.
"In Rose Trocadéro, I rediscovered the comforting scent of my happy memories. The roses in this fragrance are bright pink, with petals and bees flying around them. This fragrance is by no means playful, as some rose-centred fragrances can be, but it is pure and joyful, like a child's smile."
ADELINNE07, MEMBER OF FRAGRANTICA
Rose Trocadéro was born in 1976 as part of a trilogy of rose perfumes created by Yuri Gutsatz for his wife Arlette, who adored this flower: Rose de Mai, Rose Thé, and Rose Opéra. Ultimately, only one formula was kept, Rose Thé, which would later become Rose Trocadéro.
Yuri was inspired by the perfumes worn by women in the 1920s, when he was a child in Saint Petersburg: intense, elegant, very French roses that deeply marked him. Decades later, Clara Feder renamed Rose Thé to Rose Trocadéro, as a tribute to Arlette’s distinctly Parisian charm and her own childhood garden memories in Paris, from an apartment with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
"Rose Trocadéro is a rose from start to finish, beautiful roses, soft yet luminous, like the pink clouds of a perfect sunrise; vibrant yet luminous. It is not an old-fashioned powdery rose, nor is it a flashy rose; it is the quintessential feminine rose, tender and intimate in its beauty, almost suede-like in its softness."
AARON POTTERMAN for CAFLEUREBON
Rose Trocadéro is for anyone who loves the authentic, fresh, and radiant rose, far from the clichés of overly sweet or powdery roses. It’s a perfect fragrance for those seeking a “modern classic” rose scent, tender and easy to wear daily.
Rose Trocadéro is particularly at home in spring and summer, when its floral, radiant garden side naturally resonates with the softer air. But its musky and honeyed softness in the base also makes it a comforting fragrance for autumn, to be worn like a light olfactory scarf.
It’s perfect for office days, walks, daytime romantic dates, or evenings when you want to stay in a delicate and intimate register rather than something spectacular.
Rose Trocadéro is also available in home fragrance objects, bringing the rose garden into your living space.
The containers are designed to be kept and reused, in line with the House’s commitment to sustainable rituals and waste reduction.
The Rose Trocadéro mist translates the fragrance into a soothing nighttime ritual. In France, it's said that "the night brings advice": pillow mists have been designed to accompany this transitional moment between day and sleep.
They can be sprayed on bed linen, pillows, but also on a coat, scarf, or even inside the car. The mist allows you to enjoy the rose fragrance in a generous and light way, perfect for layering with the Eau de Parfum or simply for enveloping yourself in softness before sleep.
Some enthusiasts describe Rose Trocadéro as "the rose from start to finish," a beautiful, soft yet radiant rose, evoking the pink clouds of a perfect sunrise. It is neither an old-fashioned powdery rose nor an attention-grabbing rose: it’s the epitome of a feminine rose, tender, intimate, almost suede-like in its softness.
Others find in it the comforting scent of happy memories, like a rose garden buzzing with bees, full of life and light. Many appreciate its apparent simplicity, behind which lies a true work of high perfumery.
Rose Trocadéro smells like a blooming rose garden: a fresh, natural rose, enhanced with blackcurrant buds and a subtle fruity lightness, with a musky and honeyed base that makes it soft and caressing.
Yes, Rose Trocadéro can be worn by everyone. Although rose is often associated with femininity, its fluid, natural, and musky composition makes it a perfectly genderless fragrance for anyone who loves the scent of a true rose.
The composition highlights rose absolute, often associated with soothing and comforting effects. Paired with the pillow mist, Rose Trocadéro can become an excellent companion for an evening ritual focused on sleep quality.
It’s perfect in spring and summer, but remains very pleasant in autumn to bring back the feeling of a blooming garden. You can wear it during the day, at the office, on a walk, for a romantic date, or a gentle evening.
Spray on pulse points (neck, wrists, inside elbows, behind the ears) without rubbing. You can also lightly apply it to your clothes after testing on a discreet area. For a cocoon effect, pair the Eau de Parfum with the pillow mist on your bed linens.
There are no standardized refills available for separate purchase, but the bottles are mechanically openable, allowing you to transfer the perfume from a larger size to a smaller one (for example, from 50 ml to 15 ml) and thus extend the life of your bottles.
The line follows the House’s clean beauty principles: organic alcohol, no added colorants, no preservatives, no UV filters, and a skin- and environment-friendly approach.
